Welcome to Anderson Admissions Academy!

Let’s get YOU into law school!

Your favorite attorney and former law school admissions officer (for a TOP law school), turned admissions coach.

Welcome!

Hey y’all! I’m Attorney Akiesha Anderson and I’m thrilled that you’re considering inviting me to join you on your law school admissions journey!

In a nutshell, I’m a former law school admissions officer for a T14 law school / UCLA School of Law. During my time working in law school admissions and under a race-blind admissions policy (due to state law even before the Supreme Court’s decision banning affirmative action), I helped UCLA Law acquire it’s largest class of Black 1Ls in nearly 25 years. My expertise lies in helping low-income, first-generation, and especially Black and Brown law school applicants navigate the law school admissions process. As someone with actual experience making law school admissions and scholarship recommendations, having reviewed over a thousand files as an admissions officer, and having helped thousands of students get into law school and receive more than $25 million in scholarship offers as an admissions coach, ya girl kind of knows what she’s doing when it comes to this law school admissions coaching thing.

Outside of running Anderson Admissions Academy and helping clients enhance their odds of getting into the law schools of their dreams, I am a licensed-attorney, policy / legislative professional, former lobbyist, former chief of staff, 2024-2025 Obama Foundation Leader, wife, sister, friend, and so much more!

With that said, please make yourself at home, take a look around at my prices and services, and be sure to follow me on social media (especially Instagram and TikTok) at @AskAkiesha .

Our Services.

  • How this works: You book a time on my calendar for your document review. This is not an appointment that includes a zoom or phone call. Rather, it is simply the time by which you must email me your materials by and during which I will do a cursory review of your materials. 7 days after your appointment, your documents will be returned by the end of the night (Pacific Time). While booking, you will also complete an intake survey telling me more about yourself and the roadblocks you are hitting or questions/concerns you have about your materials.

    See prices in section below.

  • How this works: You book a time on my calendar for either a phone call or zoom call. While booking, you will also complete an intake survey telling me more about yourself and your admissions journey thus far. If you schedule a phone call I will likely not have access to my laptop / the ability to look at materials at the time. If you book a zoom call, I will be stationary and you will be able to share your screen or materials with me via email or file share. I will not review materials in advance, but you can use your time for me to look at and discuss them with you.

  • How this works: Clients buy my text message support service and receive a Welcome Packet containing my cell number and instructions, including a code to use when messaging me. Use your allocated amount of text interactions with me for guidance related to their law school admissions journey including related to documents - if you have an iPhone and would like to send those via text, that’s fine as well to get minor questions answered. This service provides quick, accessible support allowing clients to ask questions without needing to schedule calls. This is most convenient for people who can’t afford to wait the typical 2-4 weeks to get an appointment on my calendar.

  • Document Review Services

    Price(s):

    - $99: Non-Personal Statement Essay Review

    - $149: Personal Statement Review

-$250: Pre or Post Submission Application Review: Before you hit submit, consider my “Comprehensive Application Review” service and before you re-apply, consider my “Post Application Cycle Review”. Both services come with one round of proofreading the application, one written applicant profile sharing the honest impressions of your application materials under a critical lens, and one 30-minute follow-up call.

    - $399: Core (or any other) Four Document Review (Personal Statement, Diversity Statement, Resume, Addendum OR 4 other documents of your choice)

    - $999: Unlimited Document Reviews for as many documents as you have (Can include core four documents (as listed above), supplemental essays, additional addenda, school-specific essays, scholarship essays, etc.).

    Unlimited Document Reviews Caveats:

    1. When purchasing this service, look under the full cycle assistance category (rather than under document reviews) to find it.

    2. Each appointment you are entitled to send up to 4 documents / essays at a time. If you need to send more than that, schedule multiple appointments.

    3. Each version of your document is only entitled to 4 reviews total. For example, if you write a personal statement about your love for environmental law, after the fourth review, it is considered done. Small tweaks and revisions of sentences, etc. will not be entitled to a new review. If you however, decide to write a brand new personal statement about another topic, that will begin a new count of eligible reviews.

Word to the Wise: My calendar typically fills up 2-4 weeks in advance. So don’t wait to book your appointment. Be proactive and buy it weeks in advance of the day you want your review done by (keeping in mind the 7-day turnaround time).

  • One-on-One Zoom or Phone Calls

    Price(s):

    - $9.99: 15-minute Consultation Call (Call designed for you to share more about your needs so that I can recommend the best service for you).

    - $99.99: 60-minute Q&A Call (Time to ask more questions, for us to brainstorm AND workshop putting together any of your documents, or for us to review your application packet together to discuss potential areas of improvement before you reapply or hit submit).

Word to the Wise: My calendar typically fills up 2-4 weeks in advance. So don’t wait to book your appointment. Be proactive and buy it weeks in advance of the day you want your review done by (keeping in mind the 7-day turnaround time).

  • [Full Terms of Service for Anderson Admissions Academy]

    Terms of Service

For Admissions Consulting Involving Document Reviews: Anderson Admissions Academy will provide editorial guidance (“Admissions Services”) to help the Client with enhancing application materials to American JD programs. Clients will be expected to schedule their document reviews in advance (2-4 weeks ahead of time is typically advised) yet if they need quicker or alternative availability they should contact Attorney Anderson via DM, text, or email info@andersonadmissions.com with subject line “Alternate Availability” to share their request for an earlier or alternative appointment time beyond what is available on the scheduling system they have access to. When able, we will do our best to accommodate, but that is not guaranteed.

Clients will receive their documents back by the end of the night (Pacific Time) the following week of their appointment and on the same day of the week as their initial appointment (i.e., a Thursday document review will be returned by the end of the following Thursday night). With the exception of Pre or Post Applications submissions (discussed below) applicants are entitled to send up to 4 documents per hour reserved for their appointment. Clients should email their materials in both Word Doc and PDF formats to documentreview@andersonadmissions.com by their scheduled appointment time. They will get several reminder emails of such beginning 48-hours before their scheduled appointment.

Clients who miss their appointment time (or need a few more days to submit their documents) should communicate that as early as possible – while we will do our best to still return documents 7-days after the scheduled review date, if documents are received more than 24-hours late that can not be guaranteed. Ultimately, however, there is no guarantee that late submissions will be reviewed absent communication from Anderson Admissions Academy noting such.

As a default, missed appointments will be counted against the Client’s number of document reviews (or rereviews) and late submissions will not be accepted after 24-hours. Clients are advised to cancel appointments no later than 48-hours in advance to avoid being penalized for missing said appointment.

Also, for my unlimited document review services, each version of your document is only entitled to 4 reviews total. For example, if you write a personal statement about your love for environmental law, after the fourth review, it is considered done. Small tweaks and revisions of sentences, etc. will not be entitled to a new review. If you however, decide to write a brand new personal statement about another topic, that will begin a new count of eligible reviews.

For Admissions Consulting Involving Pre or Post Application Submission Review: Anderson Admissions Academy will provide strategic consultation and editorial guidance to help the Client with applications to American JD programs in the form of “Post-Application Cycle Reviews” (for reapplicants) or “Comprehensive Application Reviews” (for clients before they hit submit / apply). These Admissions Services will consist of one round of proofreading the application, one written applicant profile sharing the honest impressions of your application materials under a critical lens, and one 30-minute follow-up call. The same scheduling and turnaround rules for other document review services (as listed above) apply here too.

For Admissions Consulting Involving Zoom or Phone Calls: Anderson Admissions Academy will provide strategic consultation (“Admissions Services”) to help the Client with applications to American JD programs. Clients will be at liberty to design the agenda for each call, however, Anderson Admissions Academy will also provide guidance regarding what things to focus on or prioritize with regard to each call.

Calls are designed with the Client’s needs in mind and can be used to go over application questions, timeline questions, to-do lists, next steps, ways to stand out beyond your materials, putting together a school list, and post-application support on matters of waitlists, interviews, scholarship renegotiation, and school choice.

Clients that are more than 10-minutes late to a scheduled appointment will forfeit that zoom or phone call and it will count against their balance of allotted calls. Clients are advised to cancel zoom or phone appointments no later than 12-hours in advance to avoid being penalized for missing said appointment.

Calls via zoom or phone may regularly be recorded by Anderson Admissions Academy for quality assurance purposes. Both clients and Anderson Admissions Academy are entitled to record calls for note-taking and record-keeping purposes. Recordings made by Anderson Admissions Academy are intended solely for internal use, note-taking, or review to enhance the services provided by Anderson Admissions Academy. Recordings made by either the client or Anderson Admissions Academy must not be externally shared, distributed, or used for any purpose outside the intended scope or without prior written consent from the other party.

For Admissions Consulting Involving Digital Products: Anderson Admissions Academy maintains that their digital products and intellectual property are not to be shared with anyone beyond the person who purchased access to such. Any unauthorized distribution or replication of digital assets is prohibited. Redistribution, reproduction, or sharing of such items in any form, including but not limited to copying, forwarding, or uploading to online platforms, is strictly prohibited.

For Admissions Consulting Involving Text Message Support: All texting support services provide direct, on-demand access to expert advice and guidance for law school admissions. They are designed for applicants seeking quick, actionable assistance without the need for additional services or packages. The scope of support however is outlined below:

You May Ask Questions For / About:

    • General advice on applying to law school.

    • Law school admissions strategies and best practices.

    • The quality (i.e., is this good? Yes or No) of specific application components, such as personal statements, resumes, and diversity statements.

    • Clarifications on admissions timelines, deadlines, or logistics.

    This Service Does Not Cover:

    • Full application, essay, or resume reviews.

    • Editing or suggesting edits for rewriting any documents.

    • In-depth, personalized application strategies requiring detailed research or analysis.

    • Questions unrelated to law school admissions.

    Response Times

Text support is available daily, yet please note that I work a full-time job and responses may be limited during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 7 AM– 5:30 PM PST). Responses will be provided within 24 hours of your text, with most being answered within 3 hours. Messages received overnight (between 9 pm - 7am PST) will be reviewed after 7am the morning after (if before midnight) or of (if after midnight) receiving the message .

    Limits on Texting

Depending on the service purchased, clients are entitled to either a limited number of texts over the span of 9-months or unlimited text support for a specific period (e.g., 14 or 30 days). Texts should be concise and focused to ensure effective and timely responses. To get the most out of this service, try to keep each message focused and under 3-5 sentences. Excessive, vague, or inappropriate messages may result in a warning. Subsequent misuse of the service may result in a suspension of the service without a refund.

    Fees and Duration

Access to the service begins upon receipt of payment and ends after the pre-stated number of texts or time period.

    Boundaries and Appropriate Use

This service is intended for guidance only and does not replace one-on-one coaching or document review services. Clients are expected to use the service respectfully. Harassment, spam, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination without a refund.

No Guarantees of Specific Outcomes: While our services provide customized guidance and advice, we do not guarantee specific results, such as law school admission to specific schools or guarantees regarding scholarship awards. Also, despite guidance and feedback from us, clients are responsible for ensuring they feel good about their application materials and fulfilling each school’s application requirements (i.e., essays, CAS report, LSAT, application questions, etc.) and any requirements after receiving decisions (i.e., paying seat deposits, etc.).

Privacy: All client contact information is confidential. Your phone number will not be shared with third parties outside of Anderson Admissions staff without your consent, except as required by law. Similarly, my (or my team’s) cell number should not be shared with others without my express permission.

Agreement to terms of service: By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

  • Scope: Applicable to most services unless otherwise stated.

    1. Eligibility for Refunds:

      • Refunds will only be issued under the following circumstances: A written request for a refund is made within 36-hours of purchase and before any service delivery begins. No refunds will be provided for any digital products. Since full cycle assistance and other clients receive access to all digital products immediately after purchasing their services that include such, any refund provided will be partial in nature, with the current price of the digital product package subtracted from the price customer paid.

    1. Selling or Transferring Non-Refundable Services:

      • All services are non-refundable after that 36-hour grace period (intended to allow you to read over the terms of service, welcome packets, or instructions for accessing your services). However, should a client pay for yet completely fail to utilize any of their service, they may sell or transfer that service to a friend as long as it is communicated to me via email who they have transferred that service to. This clause applies only to standalone document review or 1:1 calls and not to full cycle assistance, digital products, or text messaging services.

    2. Processing Refunds:

      • Refund and service transfer requests must be submitted in writing to info@andersonadmissions.com.

      • Approved refunds or service transfer requests will be processed within 30 business days.

By purchasing any service from Anderson Admissions Academy, clients acknowledge and agree to the applicable refund policy. It is the client’s responsibility to review these terms prior to making a purchase.

  • Within 24-hours of purchasing a service, it is strongly advised that clients read and review all contents within their Welcome Packet, Our Terms of Service, or Limited Refund Policy, or any other instructions they may receive.

After checking out, clients should be sure to read the checkout / final page closely to ensure they have clicked any applicable links to download instructions for their specific service. Should you not automatically receive those instructions (or if you fail to save or lose them) please contact info@andersonadmissions.com to request them via email.

  • If you have applied for a LSAC fee waiver you are automatically eligible for 50% off any services. Please use this link to confirm your eligibility for this discount and to get the coupon code to use at checkout.
